Tip of the Week
As the COVID-19 situation looks like it will not be easing anytime soon for pubs, restaurants and cafes, what are the options?
As we get a better understanding of the situation and how people are responding to it, now could be a good time to look at offering a delivery service.
Many operators are now exploring opening for delivery or takeaway only in the next few weeks.
You can set up your ordering system on your website or partner up with a delivery provider. Deliveroo is offering a good package for easy set up of a delivery option.
But, if you prefer to go it alone without all the huge commission overheads of the delivery companies, it is well worth checking out LOKE – https://loke.global/. A very interesting alternative to the big companies as they provide flexible options to suit your business.
This flexible approach may be very useful as we look to the future of what reopening will look like. The LOKE App has a very exciting feature of App Table Ordering. Of course, we cannot be 100% sure what the requirements will be but we can foresee that customers will want reduced contact with your staff.
We have seen some ideas around social distancing via a booking system to reserve your table for 1 or 2 hours only (a big change for a pub operation). Not sure I like the idea of having to book in to go to the pub, but it may become the new norm for a period of time. However, I do like the idea of App Table Ordering…….
